Book Review | Small Great Things

Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult - (Synopsis: Ruth Jefferson is a labor and delivery nurse at a Connecticut hospital with more the twenty years' experience. During her shit, Ruth begins a routine checkup on newborn, only to be told a few minutes later that she's been reassigned to another patient. The parents are white supremacists and don't want Ruth, who is African American, to touch their child. The hospital complies with their request, but the next day, the baby goes into cardiac distress while Ruth is alone in the nursery. Dose she obey orders or does she intervene?)

I loved this book!!!!! I give it five out of five stars, this book is written in three perspectives. Ruth the African American nurse, Kenndy her lawyer & Turk the white supremacists. I don't want to say much with out giving any spoiler alerts! But this book really helped capture what is going on in today society when it comes to culture, racism and acceptance.
